Philosophy & Approach
I believe that most difficulties are brought about by underlying emotional pain, usually caused by trauma. While it is important to learn how to function around and through these emotions, much can be resolved by treating the trauma memory to repair your emotional functioning.
Formal Training & Education & Supervision
I have a master’s in clinical mental health counseling through Lamar University in Beaumont Texas. Major coursework included family & couples and group counseling. I have been trained in EMDR as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS), but I also utilize DBT, talk therapy, motivational interviewing and am working on building skills with Internal Family Systems.
Fees
I mostly am out of pocket/fee for service but am happy to reach out to your insurance to set up individual contracts. I am able to accept OHP clients if you have not been successful in finding a contracted provider for services. Please inquire for more information.
